I'm Ally Redford. (she/her)
I’m currently a Mental Health Intern at Ash & Birch Counseling and working toward my Master of Social Work at Pacific Lutheran University.
Clinical Interests: Adolescents and Young Adults (10+), Eating Disorders, Body Image, Neurodivergence, Mood disorders, Anxiety and OCD, Spirituality, Relationship Issues, LGBTQ+ Community
Ongoing Learning: My long‑term goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker so I can provide clinical support and advocacy within my community.
Practice Locations: Providing in‑person services at our Puyallup office and virtual sessions throughout Washington.

About Me
I believe there is hope for everyone’s future when you have the right support for your needs. I believe growth happens within safe and supportive relationships. I am passionate about creating a space where clients feel fully heard, seen, and respected. I view therapy as a collaborative process and encourage clients to share what is or isn’t working so we can tailor each session to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. I strive to bring cultural humility and responsiveness to my work, inside and outside of the therapy space.
My clinical areas of focus include teens, families, trauma, neurodivergence, identity exploration, eating disorder recovery, and spirituality.
My approach is grounded in evidence-informed, trauma-informed, and strength-based care. I draw from DBT, ACT, and ERP.
As a mental health intern, I work under the supervision of a licensed clinician who supports my ongoing growth and helps ensure you receive thoughtful and high-quality care. I view our first session as an opportunity for you to learn more about me, ask questions about my approach, discuss goals and decide whether you feel comfortable moving forward together.
